I view each of my pieces as reflections of love, to tickle the imagination and inspire. Playful whimsical themes, to bold and flashy flickers of color and light. Starting with a flat sheet of sterling silver, I draw the ideas on top of it, then saw, file and hammer the piece to it's new dimension, gold and semi precious stones may join the process, no molds of rolling mills, just me, and old anvil and perhaps a revamped rail road tie for stamping, then power tools for grinding texture to the mix. The person who has influenced me the most is metal smith Sydney Lynch, who has taught me everything, from making the jewelry to selling and marketing, and also giving me the confidence in myself to go out there and do it. All in all, it's the process of creating, the end result is just another benefit for joy in action. I hope that each recipient of these pieces enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them. |
